Liza Baron is a managing director at Forward Risk, where she focuses on talent development and operations. She also manages cross-border integrity due diligence cases, with a focus on politically sensitive matters. Liza has led and managed hundreds of multi-jurisdictional investigations digging into allegations of fraud or corruption and searching for risk-relevant information to inform high-stakes business decisions and strategy. Previously, she specialized in Middle East and North Africa-related investigations and established a regional practice at a leading global investigations firm. She maintains a wide network of sources across the region.
Liza has robust experience conducting deep research projects and interviews across the Middle East, including in Egypt, Lebanon, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Jordan. Previously, Liza represented a number of international NGOs in the Middle East, including in Egypt, Oman and Yemen, and led implementation of youth empowerment, community economic strengthening and humanitarian programs.
She won a Fulbright scholarship in Morocco to examine the government’s use of compulsory religious education as a vehicle for political and social messaging.
